Mr Colonel Peppy sold in the summer of 2007! Nina shares her experience buying from Fisher Equine below.....

Pepper is doing great. He is a fantastic boy- everything I was looking for and more. He is very responsive and is always trying to figure out what is being asked of him. He is forward in a good way- I have ridden many horses that need to be pushed constantly, and that gets old. I have also ridden horses that need to constantly be pulled back, and that also gets old. He responds so well to the lightest of cues, whether they be seat, leg, or rein. This matches my riding style perfectly as I am a very light-handed and light-seated rider. Actually I have to tell you that the first time I whoa-d him from a canter, I was not prepared for what a good stopper he is, and I'm sure I did not make a pretty picture!

He is a responsive, broke, athletic little horse, there is the whole unpredictable chemistry thing that makes a horse a good match for one person and not another. I LOVE Pepper and feel totally comfortable with him, and there is definitely the chemistry. He is the perfect horse for me. I am thrilled to have such a wonderful horse. And by the way, I take back what I said before about him being little. He is a solid, perfectly proportioned boy and is absolutely the right size.

Thanks again for helping me find just the right horse- I'm sure it's not an easy thing to do over the phone and internet. Think of yourself as a horse-rider matchmaker! Pepper is a truly amazing horse, and one in a million. He has such a great heart and is the most willing and forgiving horse I have ever come across, while also being such an athlete an a performer. Everyone who sees him admires him- his way of going, his willing attitude, and his "worker bee" mentality. Kiko is having so much fun with him and he is already worth his weight in gold to us. The only thing is that on an island like Maui, everyone wants to get their hands on him- the reining/cutting trainer I am working with says that he is one of the best horses he has worked with.

Thanks for recommending him to us and for your honest representation of a truly great, one-in-a- million horse. (Actually, he is so much more than I expected.) I'll continue to keep you posted.
